Gas fireplace insert installation cost — Louisville/Jefferson County, KY

Last updated: September 24, 2026

What affects the price

When you're looking at a new fireplace, the bottom line depends on a few specific things. First, are we working with an existing chimney or venting system, or does everything need to be built from scratch? The type of fuel matters too—gas, electric, or wood-burning units all carry different installation requirements. You also have to consider the finish work, like custom stonework, mantels, or drywall repairs around the unit. Labor complexity is the biggest factor here. We’ll get you the exact pricing confirmed free on the call.

About this service

Installing an insert is the process of putting a new unit inside an existing masonry fireplace. Costs vary based on the type of fuel line required and the amount of preparation needed to seal the chimney. If your chimney needs a new liner or extensive cleaning, the price will reflect those additional labor steps. We help you weigh these factors to find a solution that fits your budget. We provide exact pricing confirmed free on the call.

Installing a fireplace in the summer might seem unusual, but it is often the most efficient route. You avoid the peak-season rush, which usually means shorter wait times for an appointment. It is the perfect off-season project to ensure your home is ready long before the first chill of autumn hits. We can get the job done quickly while you focus on other home improvements.
